4CHROM Seals & Plungers
4CHROM offers two types of seals to meet the various demands of HPLC solvent conditions. For superior abrasion resistance, reduced shedding, and increased life in reverse phase solvent systems, we recommend using our 4PE (UHMWPE) blend seals. For applications where normal phase is required or where equipment limitations require one to switch back and forth from normal phase to reverse phase on the same HPLC system, we suggest using our 4TC (carbon filled PTFE) blend seals. These seals offer improved abrasion resistance while being forgiving enough for the changeover between organic and aqueous solvent conditions.
Our plungers are manufactured to extremely tight tolerances utilizing the most current technology in sapphire production. The concentricity tolerance achieved with the assembly of the sapphire rod to the ferrule and the angle of cut through the crystalline lattice provide optimal wear and break resistance. |
